After collecting beads, stones, finding, vintage bits of odds and ends for years I became inspired to do something with it all. In turn was lead to making unique jewelry design & other useful fun items.
As a family we like to go rock hounding for stones and fossils. Some stones are not all that famous but have tremendous potential. Wonderful pieces of jewelry can be made from stones other than high end gems. Agates are frequently one of a kind in their patterns and colors. It is mind blowing what our Mother Earth creates naturally.
My fondness of history of ancient tribes & ethic cultures and art has given me inspiration to collect and work with tribal beads.
African trade beads were mostly made in Venice and France and traded with the native tribes of Africa. Some are dug up and some are actively being traded. Some are just held onto for years and turn up at estate sales.
Using my imagination to create jewelry & bead weaving is rewarding to me. Hours are spent experimenting with colors and different designs using many different types of glass and stone beads. Most are vintage from beads and findings. I hope that you will enjoy my original designs displayed here and be sure to follow the links to see more.
My creations are for sales on Go-Antiques or Etsy.com .
There are several arts and crafts markets that I attend every year in Seattle and Puget Sound Vicinity.
